The coaches for the Senior, White, & Junior Teams have been selected by the NBDA since it has been incorporated. Since 1996 the all star coaches have been chosen by the NBDA with the assistance of the NBCA - keeping in mind state-wide recommendations by coaches; coaching achievements; classifications; areas of the state; and dedication and commitment to the game of basketball. These decisions are also influenced by the nominated coaches' help in assisting the NBDA in the tryouts and selection process over the years. The NBDA policy has been to allow the selected coaches to make the final decision when choosing the All Star teams, but strongly consider & weigh the evaluations and recommendations of the coaches who participate in the final tryouts. Final tryout evaluators are chosen by the NBDA staff, NBCA representatives, and the selected all star coaches.
