JOSEPH E. JACKSON JR |
Jackson led Louisville to the Class C2 Championship Game. The Lions entered the State Tournament on a wildcard birth after losing to Malcolm in the District Tournament. Jackson finished the regular season with 18.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He had 15 points and 7 rebounds in Lousville's opening round victory over Randolph. In the semifinals, Jackson again came up big, scoring 27 points, including 4 three pointers and adding 7 rebounds as the Lions defeated Elmwood Murdock 47 - 42. In the Championship game with Cambirdge, Jackson's 25 points and 6 rebounds were not quite enough as Louisville finished Runner-Up to Cambridge, 58 - 50. |
MARK ETZELMILLER |
Hastings High School won the District Championship and Etzelmiller entered the Class B State Tournament with averages of 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds for the season. Hastings defeated York in the first round, 54 - 42 with Etzelmiller contributing 20 points. In the semi-finals, The Tigers fell victim to Ralston 48 - 40 as Etzelmiller scored 9 points. |
JACOB CHANDLER |
Coming to the State Tournament on a wildcard, Ralston High School made the most of it, finishing Runner-Up in Class B to Lincoln Pius X. Chandler averaged 19.6 points and 7.1 rebounds for the regular season. In the first round he scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the Rams' close win over Gretna, 48 - 45. Chandler contributed 10 points in Ralston's semi-final win over Hastings and had 6 points and 6 rebounds in the Championship game which Pius won 64 - 38. |
LEVI HAMILTON |
Lincoln Southeast won their District Championship and returned to the Class A State Tournament. Hamilton averaged 16.7 points and 7.6 rebounds for the season. In the first round Hamilton scored 10 points as the Knights defeated Belleview East 59 - 40. In the semi-final game, Southeast fell to eventual State Champion, Belleview West 51 - 48, as Hamilton scored 17 points and added 11 rebounds. |
